Has anyone ever swapped out the final drive for a different model (500C / E / ascot) and found the gearing changed?
The reason I ask is that I have replaced my 16" wheel (shadow) with an 18" and it has changed the gearing (unsurprisingly)
Looking at the parts breakdown the gear(box)s in the shadow and ascot are all the same part numbers, whereas the final drive bevel/gear in the shaft/ wheel have different numbers, so I am hoping that I can change my shadow shaft/ drive for an ascot or euro one and correct the gearing??
anyone have any experience one way or the other?
