Output gear case removal
« on: January 22, 2018, 01:24:13 pm »
I have an oil leak at the output gear case and I tried to remove it to replace the seals and could not get it to budge.  I removed the three bolts and tried tapping on it prying on it and no joy. Anybody remove one  before? Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you sure the case is leaking?  I thought the same thing, then found that it was oil overflowing from the crankcase breather reservoir under the air box.  The drain hose was plugged with what looked like tiny seeds.  After I blew the drain hose out and drained the reservoir the leak disappeared.
