Title: Air valve?
Post by: Luke on October 17, 2014, 07:28:48 pm
Below is how the Fork (top) Cap Bolt looked when I removed it...you can see right through the center.  It would appear I am missing the air valve or part of the valve?

The diagram in the manual(s) leads me to think that the post in the center is the air valve? I also see the part (VALVE, AIR 51456-469-013) online and again it looks like the piece that is already in the center of the cap bolt... so confused ...lmao

I am trying to help the previous owners locate missing parts but I'm not sure what to tell them to look for ...

Any help is appreciated

I'm pretty sure it's a common schrader valve.  You can pull (unscrew) one out of any old tube - or somebody's car or bicycle tire  ::)

Yes, it should be a Schrader Valve.

Good luck
