Hi all, new member from Oz.
Have three 1982 FT500s, one is my rider, one for spares and a rolling frame to be made into something special.
Have owned the good one for about 5 years and done around 20,000Km. Had to replace the tank (rusted) and did a repaint, replaced the headlight with a round one from a CB400 for a better light, tyres, cam chain and tensioner a while ago, shocks (Koni) and forks rechromed, put the needle roller bearings in the starter and replaced two gears, cables, etc, as things wear out. Is still my second favourite (after my Maico) bike and always puts a smile on my face when riding. Also have a SL125 I restored to concorse condition (have won three trophys) and an NX650 Dominator for the rougher roads.
