I have recently bought a VT Ascot with a spare tank, unfortunately both tanks are beyond repair, and reading this and other forums it appears that the tanks are extremely rare and prone to rust.
I have approached a company in the UK about making a replica tank in aluminium. The company I have been talking to normally look for a minimum run of 10 tanks in order to tool up.
I have no idea yet what the cost is going to be, I am waiting for them to get back to me but would anybody else be interested? - no commitment, just trying to gauge if there is any interest in the event they come back and say they need more than 1 order to tool up. No money would pass through me, I would just try and co-ordinate us, we would all place our orders directly with the company making the tanks.
