Hello everyone. I just picked up an '82 ft500 from a buddy for $100! It doesn't run and it's been sitting on his back porch since it died on him two years ago. It isn't locked up and as far as I can tell all of the electronics work except the horn. I've got oil, filter, carb cleaner, spark plug and a batter and I'll be hitting it hard tomorrow. Hopefully only figuratively. This is my second bike ever, and it's an upgrade from my first which is a '73 yamaha at3. I got that from another buddy for free because it had a hole in the case. I rebuilt it and she runs fine now. So I'm prepared for anything this ascot throws my way, I hope. I'll post some updates but mostly just wanted to introduce myself for now. Thanks.
