Title: rear shock replacement
Post by: chuckleberry709 on February 16, 2017, 12:53:49 pm
I got a bent rear shock so I was looking to replace the both of them. A common gripe of the bike gurr-roos was that the factory rear shocks were inadequate on these bikes. I haven't ridden mine enough to form an opinion on that. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket or maybe a shock from another bike that would fit? So far I found some from Emgo that will fit. Anything else? Thanks.

The SEARCH feature will provide plenty of information.

I'm not sure if you're still looking for shocks, but Progressive suspension still makes a few models that are designed for the vt500ft. I guess it shares the same suspension as a few other models as well. I believe a couple models that are good are 412-4220C and dimecity sells another model (412-4211C) that allegedly fits. amazon sells the former.
