Title: Oil Seal Shifter
Post by: motocollab on March 07, 2017, 02:44:58 pm
Hi I'm trying to fix the oil leak on my '82 Ascot ft500. Does anyone know where to find an oil seal shifter or know what the measurements of it are? Thanks!

Check out PartsNation.com, or bike bandit, that part is surely available under OEM parts

The size will be printed on the seal in raised numbers. Something like 32-14-7 (32mm od, 14mm id, 7mm thick) and will be available from bearing suppliers.

If you can get it out in one piece, it should have raised letters on it that indicate the size.  You can also measure it.

I believe it is a 12x25x7 but you should confirm this.

Any bearing or industrial supply store can get these or
