Anyone have any idea why my neutral light will not come on? Bulb is good and bike is in neutral

Either the wire down the side case or the brass tab inside behind the case is bent .... or possibly the switch is bad

I got a similar problem, the neutral light is offset, i comes on between neutral and second gear, just a flash, then it goes out again.

Well your problem is simple .... it's the brass tab that comes in contact with the switch on the shift mechanism. It's out of place .... cure is to remove stator cover and re position the tab. Be careful not to bend it and there is a groove in the shifter mechanism for alignment.
