Hi
My float messed up so I took apart and cleaned my carburetor and now it will not start. What could I have done wrong?

Hard to say without seeing what you have in front of you.
Are you sure that the float is moving up & down freely? If the float is stuck in the upward position, it will not allow any fuel into the bowl.

The cycle starts with the start gas.
Choke slide back to its original position.
I´ll get back when I've screwed it apart again.

The fuel petcock is vacuum controlled. After you empty the carb, you have to crank the engine for a while to allow enough fuel to fill the bowl.
You might consider performing this modification:

Make sure that you read & understand the warning that is included in that information.
