FT500 Side Cover Repair Posts...

Anyone ever give these a try?

I have two fairly nice side covers, but they are both missing one or more of the Mounting Posts. I'm going to give these a try instead of trying to modify a panhead screw to make a new post. I'll let you all know how it turns out once they arrive.

Thanks
J.

I've not used the posts off Ebay, but the last time I fixed my side covers I bought a used Honda side cover to get the posts off it for my Ascot's side cover. The important thing about gluing the posts in is that you use a good high strength two part epoxy, I even added a screw though the outside of the side cove. Then I had the cover painted.   Good luck Jay

Thanks Jay, I'm thinking of trying to add some fiberglass cloth to the epoxy to reinforce the joint.
